about

A brief word from our executive producer Robert Bielecki:

Malachi,

When I was 14 or 15, I discovered folks like John Cage, Morton Feldman, Cecil Taylor, the Art Ensemble of Chicago (as you know, you're named after Malachi Favors), and, perhaps most importantly, Steve Lacy. Making these discoveries I felt born-again. Music set my curiosity ablaze and became the kindling from which my passion for art, film, literature, culture, politics -- LIFE! -- still burns brightly. And so my message to you is simple: quest for your own Ideal Bread and when you find it, hold tightly.

Love,

Dad
